ËL BALON A L’È RUTUND was created as a series of initiatives across Turin Districts 6 and 7, with a particular focus on Aurora and Barriera di Milano, to promote the circular economy through practical reuse, recycling and upcycling.
The project connects institutions, local organisations, training and culture. On 9 March 2025, during the Gran Balon, Squadra Quadra presented experiences ranging from R3WEAR to the collaboration with 2i3T, from Photon’s innovation to the New European Bauhaus and the experience of the Reuse Centre run by Cooperativa Sociale Arcobaleno.
Sustainability is approached as a social, environmental and economic practice: cultural events become a way to make good practices, skills and opportunities for territorial transformation visible and shareable.
Art and abandonment
The programme also included Progetto Abbandono by Franko B, curated by Filippo Mollea Ceirano: a performance built around abandoned luggage and objects, exploring the dynamics of abandonment and transforming them into material for artistic reflection.
